A question we get asked a lot when we talk about the recruitment model, we use here at Slice is what is Retainer Fee Structure Recruitment? It will come as no surprise to our clients and anyone who knows us that is just one of the many ways, we like to disrupt our industry, buck the trend, swim against the tide (You get my point right)
The retainer fee model is where our clients pay us an upfront fee to guarantee our services for a particular recruitment project. The overall fee is paid in 2 parts, the up front project fee and the placement fee on successful placement of a candidate. This means that we are dedicated to finding the best candidate for your role and we can offer a much more personalised and thorough approach.

Our clients love this way of working as it guarantees them access to our expertise and resources, we can also offer a more dedicated service even going so far as to offer on site interview support thus giving you a higher chance of finding a high-quality candidate for your role.
From our point of view, this model enables us to dedicate more time to your search as we will only take on a certain number of roles at a time. It also helps to build a more exclusive and long-term relationship with our clients making the process so much easier in the long run. Having recruited for several years for some of our clients we are now in a position where we can instinctively find the candidates that are the right fit for them, sometimes even before they have a role for them, but hey when the right person comes along, sometimes you just must jump.
With the standard percentage fees typically ranging from 15% – 25% recruitment it can seem costly however our retainer structure means that you pay a flat fee of under £1500 per placement, sometimes lower than that if you need multiple candidates, and still retain a premium service.
So if your looking for a way to Slice your recruitment costs, talk to us about our retained service.
